It's useful for reducing the noise in the crosshatching and almost get them replaced with thin gray. It is like drawing with the perfect pencil on a perfect smooth bristol paper. This drawing tool has a very digital and plastic feeling. It has a subtle grain and a soft rendering that will reveal a bit more expression than my previous "Pencil 2" preset now default in Krita 4.x.
